The Chelsea Quarter Cafe

Since moving from Notting Hill and missing the wonderful breakfasts at The Electric (although not the appalling service we put up with for almost 3 years!) I've been searching for the perfect Chelsea spot... And now I believe I've found it.

The Chelsea Quarter Cafe. I had previously dismissed it when walking past as I thought it was just another lovely bakery that does coffee. Imagine my surprise when S and I ducked in there yesterday to avoid the torrential rain that characterises summer so far and discovered they have a menu of gorgeous cooked breakfasts.

Light and airy inside with a communal marble table and second dining area t the back the cafe is much more spacious than expected.

S was very happy with his Eggs Florentine (despite texting away...)

My Vegetarian eggs were amazing; toasted sourdough with hummus, mushrooms and spinach and pesto (sun-dried tomatoes on the side but I'm ignoring them as they're overpowering!) alas, it looked so good I started before remembering I wanted to take a picture...

but the piece de resistance has to be the avocado and tomato salad! Sensational.

Next time I need to pace myself I I can try one of the cakes; the courgette and lemon cake looked surprisingly appealing but I'm always too embarrassed to actually take photos inside at the counter... so here's another shot of some delicious-looking goodies in the window
